So when I was introduced to TuffRock I was a bit skeptical about using molecular reinforced volcanic liquid to help condition my thoroughbreds for racing.

In cases where we are treating injured horses, I have found their poultice to deliver results and work really well with laser therapy.

Sydney Equestrian Supplies hosted an evening about new products where I was introduced to TuffRock. At first we had difficulty believing that just by using good feed and TuffRock Conditioner our horses could have fantastic coats and perform better.
It’s true, even after clipping for show purposes their coat condition is fantastic and we found that their overall wellbeing is great. Mares that used to be nervous at shows in led class and under saddle are definitely much better than previous shows.
We have since tried the Poultice as well; it works miracles on swollen legs, down within a day, great for cuts and also worked well on allergic reactions. We are very happy with TuffRock.

I like to feed a simple, cost effective feeding program and yet at the same time expect good results. Big Ask!! After feeding Tuffrock for 2-3 wks (approx 15ml per day) I found that I was feeding less quantity foodstuffs, horses produced better muscle tone, hoof growth was healthier and weight gain more easily achieved.
My horses are mostly used as Show Hacks/Riding and receive lots of roadwork with traffic conditions. Although, I expect all my horses to handle whatever discipline I ask, I have found since feeding the nervous horse TuffRock, he is much more relaxed, more settled and easier to work with. All my horses now seem to be brighter in the eye and more alert, but without any nervousness, enjoy better muscle tone and their coats have more depth of colour. I achieved all this (without mixing different quantities of various minerals) by using a simple balanced feed and TuffRock; it could not have been easier.
No hesitation in recommending TuffRock. It’s Great!! … as if they glow from the inside!!

I had a 4 year old warm blood with a parrot mouth who was not putting on the condition I needed for obvious reasons, he was also very nervous and really did not travel well at all. Before we got him he had only travelled on trucks so the first time in our float he did a really good job at busting it up!! Even on short trips he would continually paw the floor so by the time I arrived at a show, he would be so stressed and agitated it was very difficult to settle him.
A friend of mine suggested I try TuffRock Conditioner as it helped settle her nervous horses and she could not stop talking about how good her chestnuts’ coat looked, how much success she had with the hoof condition and now she is even feeding less with better results however I was skeptical.
My experience with TuffRock Conditioner is even better!!! I just pasted 20ml before his afternoon feed and after 3 weeks you would swear it was not the same horse. My horse is now ‘Captain Casual’ yet still very alert in the eye, he has stopped pawing the float and now travels like a dream. No more playing up around other horses at shows and his coat, mane, tail and hooves all great.
I have just bought a little black pony for my kids, very dull in the coat but really great potential. I know now that with TuffRock, my little pony will soon be a champion.

I was introduced to the TuffRock Products through a sponsorship the Company did with our local Polocrosse Club in providing some of their products as trophies. On talking in detail with Steve Hurley I was interested in trying these products and as such purchased some for my own use. The two I was most interested in was the Conditioner Plus and the Poultice Plus.
Having three of our family members actively involved in playing polocrosse we have had our horses in constant work, and playing demanding games for the past 2 months. The hard grounds due to the dry conditions, the tough competitions, the traveling etc all takes its toll on the horses in one way or another. This is where I have been able to use these two products the most. We have had several occasions where horses have been quite shin sore at the end of the day. We found by applying the Poultice Plus to the swollen area, the cooling affect seems to take affect almost immediately. This was left on overnight, or longer depending on the nature of the problem and reapplied as necessary and within a matter of time all swelling, cuts or lameness had lessened or disappeared.
The Conditioner Plus was used as a starter on two of our older horses who still compete actively in polocrosse. The “older” of the two who carries a sub junior around, representing club & zone has had a few trips to the dentist and has few teeth left and is unable to eat hay for fear of colic. Once we had started her on the Conditioner Plus after a week or so we found her coat had an extra glow about it and her general well being seemed to improve greatly as did her appetite. She used to pick at her hard feed throughout the day and never seemed to ever finish completely, whereas now we find her consuming all and looking for the next. We are now looking to give this liquid application to all our competing horses to help maintain their stamina throughout the rest of the season.
I have found since we started using the product ourselves there are a lot of people we know who also use the above mentioned products as well as other products from the TuffRock range. When asking these people about their experiences the feedback has been all good.
In my opinion, TuffRock make excellent products and sell them for a reasonable price. I can see the benefits for Polocrosse and am happy to recommend them.

After an infection my horse developed Wind Galls just before the Victorian Championships at Werribee and I did not hold much hope of making it there, as my horse was also quite an anxious type. After consulting Steve Hurley from TuffRock I decided to try TuffRock Conditioner and Poultice. To cut a long story short we made it in to the competition and scored above 69% putting us in eighth place in our level. He was extremely calm and the leg held up fine. If it made such a difference in such a short timeframe, I can’t wait to see the results when he is in full work. Thank you for such a great product, I will sing it’s praises to all my horsey friends down here in Victoria.
ROSE RUSHTON – Chittering Gully Stud
I recently used Tuffrock on a filly that we had, who seems to be accident prone. She has always managed to injure the same leg in exactly the same spot.
This was her third attempt to get rid of the offending leg and the vet came again and debrided the wound and wrapped it up. I am not happy about bandages, but as we have been in drought for 6 years, we only had dusty dirt paddocks. I was told to leave the bandage on for 7-10 days. At this time, I was also told about Tuffrock. I rang them and they kindly offered to send out a bucket of Poultice. As she was having antibiotics, we were not her favourite people, so I was hoping TuffRock Poultice would help quickly.
I took off the bandage after 3 days and the leg stunk of rotting flesh. Naturally she was not happy to have anyone touch the leg and kept moving it away. The next thing that happened was just short of amazing. As I applied the Tuffrock, the filly stopped moving her leg away. The poultice was soothing and I liberally applied it to the leg. Each day we would redress the wound and she began to be more tolerant of having the poultice put on.
She was most appreciative of the cooling effect of the poultice, plus the added benefit of NO FLIES! The swelling in the leg went down and her leg has healed much more rapidly than if Tuffrock had not been used.
The filly is now galloping around, sunfishing and bucking in her padded paddock, so to speak.
I would recommend Tuffrock to anyone that has an injury to their horse. Apart from the obvious medicinal properties, the cooling effect makes the horse happier, the flies can't annoy the horse and because it is a paste that you apply, you are able to gauge how sore the wound is and how it is improving.

I just wanted to congratulate you on a wonderful product “TuffRock”. I have bought the product from a suggestion of Anthony Hurley. I have a 12 year old show Galloway that just wasn’t right …he was flat, coat was dull and his appetite was minimal. I was having trouble getting him to eat all of his food of which he desperately needed, nor was he drinking enough water. I started him on the “TuffRock” and within the week he was licking the feed bin clean and his coat and eyes looked better, a sparkle was back in his eyes and his coat was sitting down again and a shine was beginning to appear. I have now got all of our show team on “TuffRock” and they are all looking so much better plus they never leave or waste any feed, they also appear to be drinking much better.
I thank you for creating and supplying such a wonderful product. My daughter and I currently have four show ponies/galloways in work. They are all at Royal Show level and they are all competitive, so it is great that your product will give us a better overall look on all the team.

I recently went to the 2007 Appaloosa National Show and purchased a jar of Conditioner Plus for my gelding that unfortunately had gotten sick before this show, which meant I was unable to ride him.
He had eaten some wheat, which caused him to get laminitis and grain poisoning. He is now coming along fine, and on Thursday he trotted for the first time in a month, (his feet have been sore). I just want to thank TuffRock because before I started him on the Conditioner Plus he was entirely off his feed and would sit down for long periods of time. The vet said the build up of lactic acid from the fermented wheat might have stripped the lining from his gut and stomach so when I heard the collagen effect of TuffRock might help this I thought it was worth trying. It was 5 weeks ago he ate the wheat then about 3 weeks ago I started him on TuffRock 20mls a day. His appetite has picked up, his eyes are brighter and he hasn't dropped off, (I am only feeding him white and green chaff due to laminitis). What I love is his attitude has completely changed from being sore and lazy, to being happy, trotting a little when I feed him and even cantered a couple of days ago. Thank you TuffRock. It may not have been just the Conditioner Plus, but if I hadn't started to give it to him, he may have not improved as much as he has.
I also purchased some Poultice that I have been using on my Appaloosa mare because she injured her legs. Her legs had large cuts and were quite swollen, after about a month, her legs are gone down (vet also gave some anti-inflammatory), but the wounds have almost healed, they are now a light colour, rather than being bright red and sore. I also used this product on my 3 year old Appaloosa gelding who’s rug had rubbed away at his wither. I’ve only used it twice, but the wound had already reduced and I can now ride him without worry of the saddlecloth rubbing on it.
Thank you once again, although I must admit before I used these products, I was a bit skeptical, but now I believe in the products, and will always use them.

I can not speak highly enough of the results that I am seeing with me foals born to mares fed with TuffRock conditioner. they are fatter stronger and far superior to foals born without the TuffRock conditioner. Our foals have been born with fabulous legs, no softness in the fetlocks. We have so far this season had nine foals born here seven of whom were on TuffRock, the other two clients mares but by our stallions same as our own, the first clients mare to foal was down on his fetlocks a bit at birth like many a foal is born the second had a low brith weight and was a small foal. All of our foals have been big robust fat healthy with good legs. I doubt very much this is a coincidence.

My mare Tahnee ( the aged appy mare) has been doing really well.
Anyway Tahnee foaled last night, and as you know I was having trouble with her and her weight, well she has only been on TuffRock for 4-5 weeks roughly, and has picked up so much.
I will also send a picture of my filly foal born 12 days late as they had developed Equine Influenza.
I believe that the TuffRock also helped them through the EI and the pregnancy.
Tahnee foaled a stunning filly foal that is so well grown (no weany foal here), she looks three weeks old, no scrunchyness, lol at all.
I’ll attach pictures and you are welcome also to use photo's. I am wrapped with Tuffrock Conditioner, my other mare was only on it for a week and foaled a stunning colt, but was weany.
Last year Tahnee's foal was also not real big, different sire, but was not as filled out as much as this little filly.

Since we have introduced Conditioner Plus into our breeding program, our older mare Centaine of Marceau who historically had been foaling some three to four weeks early we have noticed dramatic improvement. She now carries full-term and instead of the foals presenting knuckled over they are now coming out with excellent confirmation. I have not had a leg problems since and the big thing I have noticed is the foals improvement using Foal Plus as a starter to eliminate foal heat scours.
TuffRock as a weaning aid is allowing all the foals coats and condition to be almost show ready. Have had incredible results with TuffRock Poultice on major wounds like the photos we sent on Phoenix’s leg one month out and virtually undetectable at the 2008 NSW Foal Show and placed highly in all of his classes. I have been working with Paint Horses for 15 years in Australia, competed at APHA World Show in 2002 held in Forthworth, Texas, USA and stayed for 12 months working with top trainers and top horses including 9 months breaking and working 2006 APHA World Grand Champion ROYAL STATUS FLASH.
In February 2007, TuffRock asked me to try their liquid feed additive, Conditioner Plus and to advise on suitability for the US market. To be honest I was very sceptical about how one product can replace several others however it is true and the condition of my horses has improved.
At the recent 2007 Australian Paint Horse National Show I also observed the effect on young horses being prepared for the Futurity Classes. The majority of winners in these classes were all using Conditioner Plus.
Interesting while visiting the TuffRock stand at this show all the customers who “discovered” this product at the 2006 Nationals and had experience over the last 12 months all commented how well it works. One large stud said it is the best product for helping wean horses they had ever seen in their lifetime and they are regular visitors to the APHA World Show.
Based on my experience working with paint horses in Australia and the United States, Conditioner Plus is an extremely good product and is definitely of world-class standard.
All we do now is feed a simple balanced diet with one tablespoon of TuffRock in-feed every day. I can feel the difference when riding and see the difference on halter horses. They digest their feed better, travel well to shows, have excellent overall well-being, remain calm yet are very responsive plus their coat, mane, tail and hoof condition are all fantastic. One of our friends told us to contact TuffRock when one of our weanlings was mauled by a dog and suffered horrendous injuries on her front right leg. It was a 8 inch wound with 4 fingers of bone exposed on the inside with 5 inch wound on the outside. In fact we were going to put the horse down so we thought let’s try the TuffRock and see if what we had heard was true or not.
She was extremely fidgety, in a great deal of pain and we had one person holding her head, one person lifting the off leg then Steve simply put one good smear on the wound and let the filly feel the pain relief. Less than one minute later she stood completely still and let us cover the wounds completely, it was that easy, we did not even use bandages.
Results were amazing, every day you could see an improvement and after one week flesh was growing back, 3 weeks outside wound healed. 8 weeks later almost full recovery with good movement and almost no scar. During this time we also gave her Conditioner Plus 10 ml every day and we watched her bloom on this product as well.
Now we use the Conditioner Plus on our daughter’s 29 yr old mare that goes to pony club and does barrel racing, again unbelievable results, she is still winning ribbons and her coat is fantastic. One problem we had was this mares knees, every time she floats her legs were swelling and we could not even travel 4 hours so we decided to put the TuffRock Poultice to the test again!!
It was a really hard test, we floated from the Hunter Valley to Brewarrina (10 hours) and simply put the TuffRock Poultice half way up the forearm and down to the hoof on both front legs. When we arrived I told my daughter to be careful (who is only 6!) and walk her slowly off the float, she told me her legs were fine and trotted the mare off the float!! To our amazement our daughter was right, her legs we absolutely perfect. We then repeated this on a trip to Lightning Ridge (8 hours) with the same results, now we will not float this horse without our poultice. People still don’t believe us when we tell them about our experiences but there is no way you can deny the facts, TuffRock works.
We have now started to use the Canine Conditioner on our working dogs and are seeing the same results. We are happy customers and only too pleased to endorse their products.

Just a quick note to say thank you. I run a foaling down and aftercare centre here in Tatura.
Every year we battle with foal diarrhea and cuts and infections as the weather heats up. We lost a mare a month ago while she was foaling we managed to save the foal and had him on a bottle while looking for a foster mum. He developed the scours really bad and started to go down hill quickly in this heat. I had to administer all the normal stuff, penicillin, scourban etc, with no improvement I tried out the Foal Plus and to my amazement the foal was great by two doses.
I have been using it on all the babies now and I am amazed at how fast it works, it has now become a major item in our vet box.

For 25 years I have been working with horses and cattle. During this time I’ve seen many feed additive products for horses and to be honest, most of them don’t work, but I decided to give the TuffRock horse conditioner a go.
One of my horses was very nervous and stressed, particularly when pressured to perform during competitions, so I decided to try this new product. I gave it 20ml in feed, it took about 3 weeks to take effect, but now you can really tell the difference.
You could see the difference after a couple of weeks in the condition of the coat and muscle definition but the real benefit to me was the way the horse was calmer in it’s attitude to work.
I then tried their volcanic Poultice on a damaged knee with one of my camp draft horses and found a significant improvement after a couple of days. Since then they asked me to trial TuffRock Canine Conditioner on my working dogs and the results were great, particularly with the older dogs having more stamina.

Feeding horses can be a very complicated and confusing business with so many processed and premixed feeds available on the market today.
Horse's digestive systems are designed for a simple diet and a lot of problems in horses today are a result of feeding feeds that are too rich and not compatible to their digestive systems.
Basic feeds like lucerne, oaten chaff, good quality pasture or hays either lucerne, oaten or pasture hays with the addition of oats or barely if more energy or protein is required will usually be a good starting place for a feeding program when combined with good vitamin and mineral supplements. (Note that whole grain barley must be soaked, preferably with boiling water for about 12 hrs, or boiled before being fed and oats are also easier to digest if soaked.)
For a more specific and individual diet hair testing can be used as a means of assessing dietary needs.
Tuffrock Conditioner is a mineral supplement that we have used with very good results across the board. We have seen it help horses that are finicky eaters, have scours, stomach ulcers or nervous and excitable behaviour.
Horses with dull coats, no top line and those that would not put on weight began to improve dramatically after just a few weeks and it helps horses to recover quicker after injury or hard work.

It has been about 3 weeks since I started using your Products the Conditioner Plus and the Poultice.
I have been overly impressed with the results I have so far.
I have been feeding my horse the conditioner plus and Deek had put on a nice amount of weight and with the work he has added a nice shape to his topline this product has left him gleaming and is really doing wonders for his coat.
I have been using the poultice like shown in the article you sent to me over the kidneys but also around the dock area. Deek when ridden had been so freely moving and really stepping out more then ever since he had his accident "the being hit by lightening" When riding I can really feel him cover the ground with his steps and really reach out and move along. I am very impressed with this product. I told you I would update you as soon as I notice some results but I’m just loving the products and the very positive changes to my horse I do have lots of photos but they are on another computer
I have a ridden photo and you can see the movement my horse has, he was very much lacking the implosion in his trot and was not moving from his shoulder or hips, in just 3 weeks he is really moving well. I have put little red circles for the areas that were causing trouble or pain for him, they seem to be gone now.
You can now count me in as one of your biggest promoters now have been telling every one about your products.

Just wanted to share with you what’s been happening with a case of mud fever on our 3yold Q/H
It’s been raining heaps up here in QLD and my horse developed mud fever, he’s had it for about 4 weeks now. We have tried white ointment, all the old remedies, you name it even this new product for greasy heal (can not remember the name), at this stage we are up too and over the 100 $$ mark with no results...... then I remembered Tuffrock (T/R) can be used for greasy heel, so off we went again ….. I bought a small bucket of Poultice from my local saddlery and started the treatment on a very painful and swollen leg.
First I washed the leg then applied the T/R all over his leg, even in his heal where it was very red but no G/H.....wrapped it up with vet wrap and a bandage......left it on over night, next morning took it off - well what a remarkable difference, although not gone but not as inflamed!
Day 2 Sunday, washed it off and re applied the T/R and did the same....again sooo much better.
Today is day 3 and boy it’s so good, the swelling has all but gone! the redness gone! the M/F is so much better, just a little still there, but just remarkable Steve...We thought we would not be able to show him this weekend as well but now he will be fine..

Thank you for that, all the babies are doing well, we have an orphan that we took on that is on milk powder with the powder TuffRock added to it, he is going ahead in leaps and bounds literally. My two year old colt that is showing has attended three shows as a two year old for champion and reserve champion and high point two year old at two of the three. Once I figure out how to find my photos on this new PC I will send you one. He is also on TuffRock of course and looks amazing. I will also send you a photo of the orphan when i get some.
